Purchased new in May of 2003, unfortunatly I put it down in a turn off of N. Territorial out by Ann Arbor, Mi. about a month later. What better time then while rebuilding to do some mods!!
The Damage!!
Nothing sucks more then going off the road, doing a good job keeping it up, and then at the last second catching a rut just to get flung forward like a booger.

I landed head first and then tumbled for about 30 to 40 feet. But the worst part was hearing the bike skid along the pavement.

Landing top side down, the handle bars were pushed down, the tank got bashed in, and the tips of both fenders were ground down. Then the bike had to fall and finish sliding on the exhaust side tearing apart my stock forward control and at the time, my new Cobra Slash-cuts. Needless to say, all the mirrors, turn signals, and the headlight were useless.

The Rebuild...
First things first, I had to start tearing the bike apart. After that, the painful process of trying to find aftermarket parts began. I spent the most of that fall searching the web for not only the parts I thought looked good, but the best deals too. I found two sites that were pretty good (but I am sure someone out there can do better). Hell Riser Customs and Phat Performace.

Phat Performance supplied me with a set of Barons Radi'us T bars, Highway Hawk Forward Controls, and Pro-One Bullet rear turn signals.

From Hell Riser Customs I got my Hard Krome 2.75" Big Straights Exhaust. Much better than the Cobra's I had on before. I jetted the bike properly and the Cobra's still blued. Hard Krone is the best way to go with thier full lenght double wall constuction...NO BLUING!!!

The seat I trimmed and rewrapped myself.

The mirrors and headlight are from Drag Specialties and the chrome wide blade levers I got off Ebay along with a +6 degree triple tree. Stretched fork tubes from Metrix Cycle and wicked awsome paint from 3D Custom Paint.

Special thanks to John Scherrer and the guys from Metrix Cycle for setting me up with the fork tubes! Truly pioneers in metric cruiser customizing.

And to Donna and Dan at 3D Custom Paint, you guys do amazing work!
